Lt. Governor's Conference on Service
As the state's largest gathering of volunteer and service leaders from the nonprofit, government, faith-based and corporate sectors you will LEARN, CONNECT, BE INSPIRED and MAKE A DIFFERENCE by participating in a wide range of informative plenary sessions and workshops, impactful service projects, and an inspiring volunteer recognition and awards luncheon.
It is my great hope that this conference meets four specific goals: Learn best practices, strategies and new ways of doing business from the state’s best thinkers and practitioners of service and volunteering; Connect with peers, experts and leaders from the business, government, faith-based and nonprofit sectors; Be Inspired by dynamic speakers and stimulating forums, workshops, panel discussions and keynote speakers; Make an Impact by participating in service projects and honoring those who have made significant
contributions to our communities through their volunteer and service efforts.

recharging, engaging and bringing back new ideas and energy to strengthen the reach

New Regional Conferences throughout the State
The annual statewide Lt. Governor’s Conference on Service will be divided into four regions beginning in 2013. After a series of meetings with volunteer centers and nonprofits throughout the state, it was decided that regional conferences would allow more nonprofits the option of attending if the event was closer to home and registration fees were reduced.
The regions for the Conference on Service and Volunteerism are:
- Northern Region: Box Elder, Cache, Weber, Rich and Morgan
- Central Region: Tooele, Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, Wasatch, and Utah
- Southern Region: Juab, Sanpete, Millard, Sevier, Beaver, Piute, Wayne, Iron, Garfield, Washington, and Kane.
- Eastern Region: Duchesne, Uintah, Carbon, Emery, Grant, and San Juan.
Attendees can attend one or all of the conferences. Keynotes and workshops will be varied, depending on the region.
Volunteerism: Changing Communities
The Utah Commission on Volunteers presents the Lt. Governor's 2013 Conference on Service.
Purpose
Renew enthusiasm for volunteering and service to meet critical community needs and participate in vital conversations about the future of service and volunteering in Utah. Participants will come away inspired, energized and ready to serve.
Conference Goals
- Learn best practices, strategies and new ways of doing business from the state’s best thinkers and practitioners of service and volunteering through workshops, panel discussions and keynote speakers.
- Connect with peers, experts and leaders from business, government and nonprofit sectors.
- Be Inspired by dynamic speakers and stimulating forums. Recharge, engage and bring back new ideas and energy to strengthen the reach and impact of your organization.
- Make an Impact by participating in service projects and honoring those who have made significant contributions to our communities through their volunteer and service efforts.

- Eastern Region: September 17, 2013
