As the #1 volunteering state in the nation, four years running, my belief is confirmed that one of Utah's greatest resources is the generosity of people who call the
Beehive State home. Volunteerism is the lifeblood of our state and provides significant economic and social value for our citizens and communities. On average, Utah's 880,000 volunteers dedicate 161.9 million hours of service per year. The estimated economic contribution of those hours served is $3.3 billion annually.
I am asking you to continue to strengthen our great state by connecting with your families, your neighbors, and your communities through service. By sharing the resource of your time, you can empower other Utahns through service, while developing lifelong habits of leadership, problem-solving, empathy and self reliance.
